The more I study this piece of music the more I find. A hauntingly beautiful melody with subtle harmonies which I have here attempted to arrange for four voice parts (SATB) with a slightly simplified version of Wagner's original piano accompaniment. Wagner's work is itself an arrangement of a traditional French lullaby; this score contains the original French lyrics, not the German translation.
The attached PDF has the voice parts plus a version highlighting the piano part.
In spite of the many hours spent on this(!) I offer it for free. All I would ask is that if anyone should perform it, I would love to know what you think... |
